My Sister From Far Away

OK mom says this visitor is my sister. I'm not sure I believe this. This week I'm supposed to be nice and not bite, or scream, or growl at her. I've really been on my best behavior and really putting the best foot forward. I've allowed her to feed me, pick me up, and even give me a few scratches. This is why I've not been center of attention in moms life this last so many days, as she has her oldest one home from Omaha. Mom says she will be here till Sunday I will feel so left out.

Where have you been look?

Mom has decided I use looks at certain time's and or for certain reasons. She thinks my looks have meaning. She says this is my I may not be speaking to you look and I've been giving her this look since she left me and wondered off to a cattle show without ME! She was gone over night and I dislike being left! I also have been rather vocal since she came home wonder if she will understand I'm needy and hate when I don't get tucked in at night.

Keeping A Eye Out For Trouble!

This the season for spring I'm now suddenly interested in all the other birds such as in the new baby chicks that mom is raising. I kinda had the urge when the kittens were born but soon decided cats may not be so good for my health. But wow baby chicks are the way to go. Mom took off the hot light and now I can really keep my eyes on them. I let the dogs know not to look at my chicks!

Hanging out on the new stand

The new stand is fun but mom says I'm kinda naughty on it. How fun is a stand you can hang over and throw everything on the floor, torn up paper, food, you name it. So now I'm limited to playing on it when mom is right there as she hates my fun messes. She does likes me playing by her in the computer room as I can jump from stand to her lap anytime I want, that makes this stand even better than the living room one where I'm stuck on it while she cooks and such. In the pictures you can see me on the edge getting ready to drop toys and such. Mom put my fresh veggies on the bottom of stand as I really got a boot out of tossing the food from top of stand and that didn't go over well. Mom has to have good sense of humor with me as I'm down right messy when I feel like it. Can you see the frosting on my head in these pictures that mom took around Tuckers birthday(red frosting on birds doesn't come off easy).

Got the dino by the tail!

I overcame all fear of the dino and climbed right up on its tail and calmy took pride in the feat. I stood up tall flaped my wings and looked all proud. Well thats what mom thinks.

Aspen the dagon slayer(ok its a dino but dragon sounds better))

Given time I've gotten over being leery of the dino and well frankly I'm ready to take it on. I have given it quite the working over and even given it a few really good nasty nips its not giving ground yet but I think it may. I'm not not the least bit scared of it. OK I am still terrified of stuffed pigs for some unknown reason they make me growl so loud it scares me more. When I'm not in the room I will have mom take picture of my dreaded stuffed pig and you will see how scary it is.

Mighty Bird!

Tucker has this big Dino remote control toy that seems to be very scary to me. So I decided to investigate the dino and this took a long time to get brave enough to climb up the dog carrier to be by it. Look at all my odd leans in the pictures trying to get close but far away at same time. Don't laugh as it was scary and I did over come...

Last Thing A Bug Will See.

Here is my scary from up above stare. I practice this on toys all the time! It must be a fun activity cause I seem to love to do this. Mom lays on the floor by the dog carrier and I scoot up it and stare her down from above. Are you scared?

Big Changes!

Mom is leaving camera alone this week because I have made a amazing change. I'm starting to talk and try to do things mom asks. OK it is one phrase - pretty bird- but its a start and I'm making a ton of new sounds. And I have been doing many things mom asks. I wave, wag my tail, and stand tall or short. I have mastered potty training for sure. Since I have a whole new attitude and want to work mom has been really impressed with this. Oh and the cutest everyone says is when mom says run Aspen, I run in kind a way that makes people giggle. The more I begin to mind mom the more I seem to be only liking her and Tucker only. I'm naughty and have been offering to nip Andie and Gracie!

Hostage anyone?

Mom buys these lots of toys for birds and they always include the Chinese finger hand cuff things. So I guess that means moms wanting mean to go capture someone. They are the best toys as I can really get in and use my beak to destroy them in seconds. They do end up on floor in a pile of dust for mom to clean up.

Working Bird!

OK now that mom has fully worked dad over with the birds and he has soften to having us(OK so mom thinks). Mom went on eBay and bought me this new office stand so I can be in the office with them. Mom says I'm a official working bird now. I really like the office because that is where alot happens and someone is in there alot. I'm right next to mom I can get on and off her lap at will. Can you see the red frosting on the top of my head it seems to be stuck for awhile. Mom and I are working and almost have a trick down. I will share as soon as its purrrfected(oh darn those cats meowing all the time). Mom took these in living room when it was all put up and I was testing it out.

Got Frosting?

Well first I'm back to blog, my mom went on a trip and has been doing lots of calving so very busy. I felt so left out! Anyhow today was my Tuckers birthday and wow did he have a messy cupcake to share with me that was soooo yummy. Can I get any more messy. Mom let Tucker share and boy can I fling frosting, maybe a mistake on moms part. Did I really hear my mom whisper bad things as she cleaned very red and blue frosting from her white shear curtains. I really loved the spider man ring that was on the cupcake. Tucker is five he is so sweet to share, he never leaves me out.
